Baja Rosi’s is a friendly oasis in a parched retail world.
Inside the cabana you will always be cheered by our bright and fun
atmosphere. You’ll be greeted warmly and encouraged to take
as much time as you wish to browse our wide selection of treasures.
Being a long time consignment shopper I had always wanted to own my own store. Part of the attraction was to be able to create the friendly atmosphere where women who had previously never met laugh and trade items from one change room to another…it’s a phenomenon that doesn’t really happen in regular retail! In November, 2002 I opened the doors to the original 1100 sq. foot store. The community immediately embraced the fresh, uncluttered environment to shop for brand name clothing and accessories.
In 2005 we were able to expand to over 2550 square feet and received the Retailer of the Year for Vancouver Island from the Business Excellence Awards. This confirmation from the business community gave us the momentum to continue our growth and drive to become the best consignment experience available!
Today Baja Rosi’s offers the largest selection of consignment clothing for women in Victoria. We receive and process hundreds of new items every day and keep the selection fresh by marking down and donating unsold items from the floor on a regular basis. Focusing on brands that offer quality AND style to fashion conscious women we look for unique pieces that encourage individuality and value.
We believe women deserve to be served and pampered and offer well trained employees who enjoy dressing the body you HAVE, looking for design and tailoring to enhance your body’s natural beauty. Today’s fashion allows for so many different styles and the unique blend of consigned items that have had little or no previous wear reduces the waste in our society as well as fostering better use of our hard earned money.
A long time member of the National Association of Resale and Thrift Stores (NARTS), I am able to travel and meet with hundreds of resale business owners across Canada and the US to keep abreast of industry trends and changes. Adherence to the NARTS code of ethics and being committed to the industry as a whole has given me a wider perspective in ways to serve my customers and encourage the REDUCE, REUSE, and RESALE mindset!
